As a 27 year old man I’ve seen my life and others change around me in what is a relative short time on planet earth. How does it feel to be 37? How does it feel to be 47? How does it feel to be 87?
Each passing day we step that little bit closer to the inevitable.
At this stage of my life at 27 years old I can only envisage being middle aged with half my life gone and reflect what I could do differently. Or imagine being an 87 year old and having seen your grandparents, parents, siblings, aunties and uncles etc as well as life long friends pass on. Absolutely bonkers.
Growing old is a privilege. I get that. I just wanted all your thoughts on this.
Depressing Friday night thread if there was ever one, I agree, but what would the good people of TWTD do differently? Do you accept that growing old is a natural part of the life cycle or do you pine for when you are 18 again?

i'm going to be a massive hypocrite now. Do as i say, not what i do etc. Forget the past, forget your mistakes and move on. Think about what you want in the future not what you wish you could go back and change.

I work with mainly hockey and NFL fans. They aren't really interested in football, men or women's. That's why I have to keep coming on here with you lot.

I've just turned 45 and it isn't inconceivable that I could be a Granddad in the next year or two which is a bit of a headf@ck as in my mind I'm still a virile young buck.
I can still hold my own, just about, playing football with lads half my age at a decent kickaround level but am increasingly aware my best days are behind me.
