Is there a case for having the penalty spot slightly closer to the goal 21:53 - Jul 2 with 2100 viewsGlasgowBlue

In the women’s game? As they do with a Tee in golf.

None of the pens I have seen in this we are struck with the same power as one taken by somebody like Marcus Rashford.

Surely as men have got bigger, fitter and quicker since the pitch size was formulated 100-plus years ago men's pitches should be made bigger!

We struggle to get the ball up the pitch as it is.

They should keep pitches the same size and get rid of offside.

Or at least, as an initial step, have offside at the line of the penalty area. The current offside on the half-way line does more to destroy the game than any team's negative tactics.

Once you get attackers being able to spread the play and take up good positions (rather than defenders just shutting that sh!t down) then the game will be 10x more entertaining.
