If Donald can be President, and Boris can be PM, then why not?

What a world!

Please note: prior to hitting the post button, I've double checked for anything that could be construed as "Anti Semitic" and to the best of my knowledge it isn't. Anything deemed to be of a Xenophobic nature is therefore purely accidental or down to your own misconstruing.

It's all right, short as I am (actually average adult height) I don't mind. Sorry if I came in a bit two footed but I was trying to make clear how easy it is to slip into judgements about people through using dismissive language. crunchie has a point about equal treatment before the law but there have been explanations regarding the apparent harshness of Yaxley-Lennon's sentence. As Herbivore has said, a lack of contrition may cause a sentencing magistrate to impose a more rigorous punishment.

Average height? That's what people with a complex say isn't it?

I understand that if you do the crime, you must do the time. What narks me is peoples unwillingness to accept that others are allowed to hold a differing view on matters.

At the risk of sounding all hippy dippy. It would be nice if we just took a little time to try and understand each other, rather than getting on the front foot all the time.

Well as hes been jailed he wont pay the costs.
Surely a massive fine and to pay the court costs would of been more damaging to him....and better for the tax payer.
They simply do just want him out the way....let's see what gulag he gets sent to.

So you're suggesting the rich or famous enough to crowd fund shouldn't face the same justice everyone else does?

His idiot followers would have crowd funded his fine by tomorrow morning. He'd have learnt nothing.

Truly impaired.

Jury discharged as a result of a article...10k fine.
Jury COULD of been discharged.....9 months in prison.

I'm critical of SYL....a total cowardly act to chase down that bloke in Portugal and hit him....if he does something I think deserves criticism...then I will.
But as I said your so blinkered and entrenched in your politics that nothing else gets a look in.
Just have a day off BB.

You're not critical of him at all. If you were, you'd be a damn sight more interested in the fact that his actiosn could have resulted in a large number of paedophiles walking free.

Stop supporting paedophiles.

If you look what he actually done....

Guilty of contempt of court, twice. Endangering cases against pedos. Cases that are following the rule of English law, something you would have thought the pr1ck is all for. But we know what really behind his actions, don't we.

and take into context the punishment other journalists have received for the same offence....

Like who, and what? EDIT: And he's not a journalist ffs.

they have thrown the book at him.

No they haven't.

Crunchers, we probably agree on as much as we disagree politically, but on the Tommy Robinson point you have a massive blind spot, and you're in very, very poor company here.

Would the judges/state be able to sue him in a civil court too for his t-shirt etc? That'd be p1ss funny if they bankrupted him for his stance alongside his criminal career, complicity in sheltering of paedophiles in the EDL and similar circles, lies about cities such as Manchester.

...so you're hoping that a man gets raped? You have your fingers crossed that it'll happen?

It's an absolutely sordid wish on your behalf.

Be fair, Stephen Yaxley-Lennon was quite happy to see dozens, nay hundreds of children getting raped so he could further his profile.

See, what you have done there, is mixed up a cowardly act, with a criminal act.

A cowardly act would be to falsely accuse someone of something and not apologise or provide proof.

Both of those acts do somewhat give one an insight into someones character.

This has been spelt out over and over, yet you continue to repeat the same rubbish.

Either it's not sinking in, or you think on some level that you're being funny.

As the subject is far from humourous I am lost on your attitude on this.
