Not really. Clubs in the PL give 5 year contracts and then send players out.

I’m all for young players getting deals, but we have handed out a fair few 2 or 3 year contracts recently for youngsters not even that good. A real change in policy but think it will leave us with a bloated squad lacking in quality |  |

Emmanuel is a weird one. I remember seeing him play in the home game against Lincoln and thinking he looked like a proper player rather than just an athelete. Doesnt seem to have kicked on much although he played a lot of games for Roherham and I think played most of the games at Shrewbusry before he was made to come back and sit on our bench. Of all our youths I think he and Downes have the most talent and potential, bear in mind I havent seen Woolf play. | |

Shrewsbury sent him back, he'd been dropped from their side. If you rate young Josh ahead of the likes of Lankester, Dozzer and Nydam then I worry for you. | |
