On holiday this week , makes you think what owners have to do to keep clubs going . Perhaps ME isn”t all that bad .

Isn't that bad, isn't really the burning issue. Isn't that good, is.

Oh my friend, this isn't even about money in my comment. Trusting the day to day management of the club with Clegg and then marginally better but still poor Milne is high up on my "Not that good" scale.

Evans biggest issue has been recruitment and club management rather than investment

No idea when I began here, was a very long time ago. Previously known as Spirit_of_81. Love cheese, hate the colour of it, this is why it requires some blue in it.

If Evans didn’t want to keep the club afloat and be ambitious enough to ensure we erm, don’t find ourselves in a League One then he shouldn’t have bought the club. No sympathy from me.

Seems to stick up for Ashley a lot which grinds my gears if I am to borrow a phrase from Peter Griffin of Family Guy.

And it’s obviously ten times harder than when Jordan owned a club given the incredible increase in money involved.

ME's problems have nothing to do with money. It comes down to consistently not making the right decisions. All the money in the world couldn't help that (put Jewell in charge of Liverpool and see how long their rise continues for).

Edit - I'm probably not right when I say it's nothing to do with money. Money's an issue, but screwin things up is a bigger one.

I'm sorry, but this is rubbish, there are lots of excellent chairman out there. The Norwich people and Tony Bloom at Brighton spring to mind. They may not be billionaires but they invest in a long term plan. From what I remember reading Tony Bloom is not asking for any interest and will only begin to repay himself once Brighton are in the Prem for consecutive years, by which point him taking back even £5 mill a season would be pennies

Has to be said, that those lot up the road do get a lot of things right off the pitch, even when they face adversity. They employ the right people to drive those decisions, which helps hugely and they all appear (from the outside) to buy into the concept. It's very frustrating to see, but as you say they have a clear plan and stick to it. Our approach changes season on season and we wonder why there is such a difference between the two clubs currently?

Bloom & Jordan were both fans of the clubs which they bought, unlike Evans, so they would have had an emotional attachment. Evans bought Town largely as an investment and it's turned out to be a dud so it's now an expensive rich man's toy so he is trying to minimise losses until he puts it up on eBay.
