For those wondering what sort of money the Rod Stewart gig might have made us, Bolton made £40k. Surely we'd have made more than that?

Why would we have made more than Bolton? It will surely be roughly the same.

Because you'd have to pay someone a hell of a lot more to go to Bolton?

Administrators fees.

That's an interesting one. I presume they are guaranteed their money before any other creditors including the tax man and employees.

Quite how the directors who are ultimately responsible get so much whilst those at the bottom of the pile get so little I cannot fathom.

Maybe because the alternatives have all failed badly.

I do not have an answer regarding how much "WE" might have made out of the Rod Stewart concert . Need to remember that the stadium is owned by the council.

On an alternative note. Some scum travellers have set up camp at walton and clacton. They parked illegally on public land and have only just been kicked off due to crapping in the kids play parks thus closing them to the public whilst some poor blighter has to sanitise the area.
All the vehicles are top of the range thus clearly they have money. So why are they not siezed until fines are paid.
If I park on that same land (without crapping), how long will it take before an enforcement notice will appear on my window.

I don't understand why we have to put up with this happening every year. Why not come down hard and end this problem.

The land on which the stadium stands is owned by the council. The various structures on that land belong to the club.

Indeed. We pay rent, we get the income

On Rod Stewart, it will depend if we did a contract that guarantees income no matter the ticket sales, or we gambled and linked it to the popularity of the event and hope we sold a shed load of tickets.
