The signing of Norwood 14:44 - Aug 2 with 525 viewscbower

That folks, was it I'm afraid. I'm sure he is on a half decent whack and some signing on fee was involved but it was designed and timed to boost the optimism, enhance season ticket sales and keep us all on side. The windfall of several sell-on clauses was surely never in the original budget as the cannot be relied on yet it seems clear they are getting nowhere near Mr Lambert for the purpose of purchasing a player or two. The injuries are annoying but like so many times since Evans turned off the tap post Jewell, our squad is one or two short of looking decent and Mr Evans won't deliver. Finally, Lambert's comments on the sale of and fee for Ellis Harrison are very confusing.

Why is it confusing?

0 = price paid for Harrison - (% paid thus far + income from sale to Pompey)

Thus we have no money from the deal.

It also makes our transfer budget this year -£450k, because we had that liability, saved it and still don't have it to spend!
