I was intrigued as to how their official website would've worded his time at Ipswich, when he joined them, and found this;
"He moved on to League One side Shrewsbury Town in late 2016, taking over with the club bottom of League One. He kept them up during his first season and then led them to the Checkatrade Trophy and Play-Off finals in 2018.
A spell as manager of Championship side Ipswich Town then followed due to his success at the New Meadow.
He made over 450 appearances as a player at Rotherham United between 1993 and..."
I mean, that's probably the best you can say really. And it's true, he did have a spell with Ipswich!
Confirms a lot of what has been said here about the start of last season, Hurst was only there a month and basically started laying into all the senior pros behind the scenes and saying they were only there for the money and didn't try and it came as a relief to the players when he had gone.
Also suggested poor man management and a lack of communication between the coaching staff and the players and whenever people wanted to speak to him he had his feet up on he desk and was generally a strange character.

That interview is fascinating! Positive about Lambert, though.

Thanks for the link, Dublin. Is there a thread for this? One should be created as it finally lifts the lid on Bart's views on Hurst, not that it was a great surprise.
I love his words, google translated or not. They just speak of loyalty and a love of ITFC. This in particular:
"I hope (laughs). Yesterday on Twitter I got a lot of positive messages and support messages from the fans. A tear in her eye twisted that the end had come. For now, however, I left for an annual loan, maybe in the case of promotion for a year there I will come back. Nothing can be ruled out."
Some of the translation is a bit dodgy, is there a Pole here who can help translate it properly?

Paul Hurst angry and embarrassed after Scunthorpe United's defeat to Cheltenham Town
The Iron manager had some strong words following his side's defeat to Cheltenham
Good hope he loses every game from now till the end of his career. Pathetic man and manager. Wouldn't even allow him to play football manager he's that awful.

Hurst quote following their defeat today: “That is up there with one of my lowest points I’ve had as a manager,” he said. “That is not overreacting because I didn’t enjoy that.”

Is this another manager whose career we've ruined?
Magilton, Keane, Jewell...all have been virtually unemployable in management since leaving us
Magilton was certainly employable and got off to a great start at QPR but when things started to slump at the madhouse that is Loftus Road he didn't do his future career prospects much good by allegedly headbutting Buzsaky! Although I think he denied it at the time: https://www.independent.co.uk/sport/football/football-league/magilton-denies-hea For any of you that haven't seen the behind the scenes Four Year Plan documentary as filmed at QPR during that era then it's a must!
I think Keane would be able to get another job possibly if he ever really wanted but I think Paul Jewell is well and truly in the managerial knacker's yard for good! He might be able to get a job for Vietnam or American Samoa but that would be about it! Talking of American Samoa, this is a very good football film too with plenty of excellent behind the scenes footage. Quite inspirational this one!

Hurst is a donkey. Magilton managed Melbourne Victory and QPR after us. Keane the coach of Republic of Ireland after us.
