Could Millwall have taken the p*** any more? 09:42 - Aug 4 with 1921 viewstpsontour

First they wriggle out of paying £900K for Bart after his medical but then take him on loan. In his joining interview, Bart said he had his agent on the phone every day to make the move happen. The loan fee, if any, is unknown but it's pretty safe to assume Evans has been burned (as usual) by Millwall as they knew he was desperate to get Bart's wages off the books. Then they have the cheek to send us someone so crocked we don't even bother giving him a medical...

MILLWALL'S Tom Elliott had one of the strangest transfer turnarounds having been set to join Ipswich.

The striker, 28, went for a medical but arrived with a bad shoulder and hamstring strain – so was sent away without any checks.

Town were under no obligation to let Bart leave on a loan deal to Millwall!

Re Tom Elliott, that's a non story.

So badly crocked that he didn't need any tests to fail the medical. Sensible decision by town.

We needed to get Barts £20 G a year off the books, or at least offset some of it. Millwall would know that they had us by the goolies. I would be dissapointed if we didn't do the same thing to another club in the same situation. Its strictly business.

I asked about that on Friday, was told nothing in it, if there was any interest would have been from prior to his Millwall move rather than now he's gone there.

Am I missing something or would Bart have lost out quite a lot from this?

Presumably Millwall are paying what is a League One wage as part of the loan deal. Would signing permanently not have seen Bart able to negotiate a new contract on a better wage?
