He's my dark horse for top league one scorer.

14 goals at that level last time he played there. In theory, a year of development playing with* and against 'better' players.

Attacked the ball well for his goal.

Definitely got ability, irrelevant as we had to sell him to pay for him

Crazy decision to let him go especially as we are a striker short

He will get a good number, but not enough to be top scorer.

Frustratingly.....almost inexplicably....he is exactly what we now need.

In my opinion Harrison remains the best of Hurst's signings, not that that sets the bar all that high.

To give him away to pay the rest of his fee is just peak Evans.

Think that is rather spinning what PL said at his presser. From what I gather PL decided to move him on for reasons unrelated to needing the fee, wanted rid of him. Don't think he really took to him.

Nolan will be a great player for us in this league. Was starting to find his feet towards the back end of the season.
Great goal by that young pompey lad just then. This will give them confidence.. They look a very good side.

He's clearly found his level, everyone knows that goals scored in League One don't count ;)

No. Because PL didn't really rate him and couldn't guarentee him games.

If that was the case then surely the £450,000 already budgeted for should be available to spend right? Lambert has said we won't be paying fees so that money should be available for wages in addition to whatever was available before he left? If not then the technicalities might be different but it's the same end result.

Glad we sold him to a promotion rival anyway.

Can't wait until he scores a couple against us.

I would guess that is one of PLs gripes with Evans - the sell on fees he had little control over but I think he probably hoped that the money from Harrison's sale would be his to spend either on wages or a fee for a striker

Not sure quite what you mean, but obviously the sale was in the context of being relegated and losing £9m. However, Harrison's sale was as PL wanted rid rather than to raise cash.
