Sorry but when did this become a thing? Suddenly around 20-30 trainers that could do with being introduced to odour eaters being waved in the air was quite frankly ridiculous.
Enjoyed being back at FPR as a season ticket holder but this did confuse me.

It's not primarily religious. In parts of the East removing one's shoe is a sign of distaste, revulsion etc. When Saddam Hussein was toppled (literally in the case of his statue) shoes were removed and hurled at it.
Doesn't seem that such a level of venom is a Suffolk thing really - although 15 yr olds might yet have to mature into that understanding.
