Positives from tonight then? 21:49 - Aug 13 with 2898 viewsReuser_is_God

No injuries (that we currently know of)
Minutes for first teamers who needed them
Dobra
Emmanuel putting to bed any lingering thoughts that he’s good enough for us

Is that it?

Evans out

Downes had a quality 20 mins winning the ball to setup Dobra's goal.
Rowe had a good 15 mins or so.

Other than that, nothing at all to talk about tonight.
Clements no way near ready.
Emmanuel on his way out.
Dozzell very ineffective and not at the races. Way down the first team pecking order now.
Huws still a distance off his best.
Roberts not a target man or lone striker proving we need bodies in.
Wilson showing why he's a temporary signing.

That'll do.

We rated Downes highly when we had him on loan..then he got injured . We`d probably have put a bid in for him otherwise.

We would’ve had Cardiff away which would’ve been the most anticlimactic cup draw of all time.

First name on the team sheet for me at the moment. He's been consistently excellent in all the minutes I've seen him since pre-season.

If Roberts starts a league game this season, we may as well give up. He is woeful

Too strong.

Central lone striker, he is not, but he never stopped trying and never stopped running tonight. Pressurising the ball nearly resulted in nicking out off their keeper when Jackson joined in doing it, after he was introduced.

How can you draw any positives from that ? As someone else stated, why do we even bother entering these cup competitions when we treat it only as a little kick-about.

Forget the hype Evans, we have little pride to even compete in a cup game anymore.

Got up early and watched the full match this morning on iFollow.

Huws got some minutes in, but no quality movement around him made it difficult to do anything effective, but still you can see how good he is, Dozzell hasn't got any intensity and dare I say, when fully fit, Huws and Downes would be an excellent pairing in the middle but...

..Emmanuel is just defensively poor, not in actual footballing terms, but the positions taken up just leave us exposed. Clements, there's a footballer there, but very green tonight and far too lightweight.

Woolfenden ahead of Wilson comfortably.

Roberts worked hard, unlucky at times, but struggles to make things stick.

I know people moan about loan signings, but the two lads Luton had from Man City and Chelsea (Brown and Bolton) were seriously good footballers and if we could get someone of that quality in on loan, i'm all for it.

Luton looked a good side, very comfortable and clearly been playing the same way for a long time and it shows.

I thought Jackson looked sharp again when he came on. His pace caused them some problems in the second half, his movement seems to be improving.
