A lot better than the dross we had to watch last season
This is a team who have spent more than us this summer and have players used to playing at this level.
I think both Kenlock and Donacian had shockers but overall I liked the way we set up
Don't know why Jackson is getting abuse as he and Norwood worked their tales off - Rowe played well before fading and both Skuse and Downes looked class in midfield
Would love to see Huws in a three - maybe with us playing wing backs once Garburtt is fit again

After bright start, I thought we were poor.
Too many hit and hope balls
Possession given away too easily too often.
Overplaying in final third when a ball into the box was on.
We seemed to sit off Pboro and gave them too much time.
We got lucky at the end but that is football.
Two schools of thought - we need to improve if we are to go up automatically. Yet, despite how we played, it was a point against one of the better sides on the division. | | | |

Not having a go at you, but I do think it's funny how when we sign players the old "need time to gel" argument gets whipped out, yet when another team signs what, 11/12 players, it's "they've spent more than us".
Also think this 'young' argument Lambert keeps drilling on about is nonsense. I'd say that only really applied to Kenlock, Woolfenden and Downes today, 3 out 11 players.. Do we have young inexperienced players in the squad? Yes. Will we be fielding a starting XI full of them? No, not more so than any other team in this division. [Post edited 17 Aug 2019 18:33]
