What’s a decent price? How does the sizing work?

A 'normal' size skip, i.e. one you see everywhere is an 8 yard skip.

Will be around £200 plus VAT

EDIT - Collins are fine and would get one to you quickly, as are Cooks. If it is going on the road you will have to pay extra for a road permit and this will slow it down a couple of days

That company name always gives me the image of chap in a hi-vis jacket gambolling along the road in a rather camp fashion.

It’s for my Mum, and she should be able to put it on her driveway.

Sounds like an 8 yarder is what we need.

Cooks are the way to go. Collins have been a nightmare recently for us, definitely best avoided!!

Can recommend Fast Skips after using them in the past. They have a blog on how much skip hire costs in the UK which could be helpful - https://www.fastskips.co.uk/blog/2022/08/19/how-much-does-it-cost-to-hire-a-skip

Christ. Talk about resurrecting and old and long-forgotten post.

We did hire a skip in the end. I can’t remember where from, but it was fine.
