24k for Sunderland at home. About 10k less for Wimbledon? 14:17 - Aug 18 with 4371 viewsIllinoisblue

Sunderland brought 1,800. Dons will bring 180.
Saturday vs Tuesday night
First game buzz vs 5th game meh

Even so, doubt many other clubs will see such a wild swing in attendance from one game to the next

I do remember our one season attendance swing (as indeed you will) in 91-92.

First game 8,900 odd
Last game 26,000 odd

I couldn't make the Sunderland game, but will be there on Tuesday. If there are 10,000 other fans like me it should average out!

Yes, some very sparse crowds in the early part of that season. Made it easier to spot yourself in the crowd when the highlights came on!

I get the reasons why but it just seems crazy to lose approx 30% of your home crowd from one game to the next.

AFC will bring more than 180. They usually travel pretty well.

Train times make it difficult for some to make evening games . We proberbly have a higher percentage of fans who are not locally based than most teams in this league

My favourite season of all time that. Started going in 89/90 season. For some reason tops our fifth place premier season and subsequent euro tours.

People genuinely went nuts when we scored each and every time.

My dad took me to every Saturday game home and away in 91/92. Fantastic memories for a ten year old.

I went to an AFC away game a few years ago and they took 500 to Chesterfield, which was close to the full allocation. I'd be surprised if they only bring a couple of hundred.

3-0 minimum on Tuesday I reckon. Norwood with 1, Jackson to bag a couple.

Wouldn't most consider that a rather good attendance for a League One match on a Tuesday night in the school holidays?

How is it Wimbledon's fault?

The owners of Kingstonian sold the ground to Wimbledon who then (years later after not charging them any real rent) have sold it to Chelsea so they can fund a move back to Plough Lane.

Surely you should be directing your anger to the previous Kingstonian owners not Wimbledon unless there is something I've missed.

Kingstonian also got a tidy bit of cash out of the sale.

It was my first season of being (legally) able to go to pubs before games. Let's just say I made the most of it.
