Copied word for word... there really are some morons around:

Word on the street is Ed wanted the gigs at Suffolk Showground (Trinity Park) as it’s flat with easier access from the A12 and A14 and free parking for all - but Ipswich Borough would only approve Chantry Park because...wait for it....they don’t own Trinity Park so wouldn’t make any money, but they will do from Chantry Park (despite the massive disruption and crazy black market for parking). Well done IBC for chasing the £££’s instead of just doing what’s right.

Made up post if ever there was one:
- Trinity Park doesn’t come under IBC.
- There’s nothing to say they wouldn’t have had someone there charging for parking.
- There wouldn’t have been enough room for all the cars, and then nowhere else for people to park.
- No possibility for public transport as the station is too far away.
- Wherever the gigs were held there would be disruption- not sure how holding them at TP would cure that.
- Access from A12 / A14 isn’t any easier. Would simply be one massive queue on Felixstowe Road, rather than being able to approach the town centre from all directions.

Didn't know so many astute businessmen, and women, lived in Chantry. One lady offered parking on her verge for £20. Priceless.

I would also add that Ed would probably have preferred Portman Rd, but that couldn’t be used for obvious reasons.

I occasionally read the comments after TWTD or ITFC stories on there. They make news comments on here look like Renaissance-era Florence.

She won't own the verge. That sounds very much like 'give me £20 and I'll look after your car' to me.

Nope.

I guess the Suffolk Show draws by far their biggest crowd, but that's a different beast altogether.
Not sure how many the SS gets? 10,000 per day?

Suffolk show attracts 90,000 over two days. Think Sheeran is limited to 45,000 each day so similar size.

It really is a clueless post.

Personally I love the fact we have a concert happening in Ipswich with a current, relevant pop singer and not one from yesteryear. If anything I really hope this could be the start of more pop star's performing in the town. We have a decent sized open air venue, good links to London and would be fantastic for the area and local economy.

All forums attract morons, I get my comedic entertainment from the Thetford fb forum, they’ll complain about anything, the classic slagging off a pub because the bubble and squeak was made of yesterdays leftovers!
I find this one informative sometimes but more annoying than entertaining.

Yeah, it's obvious nonsense isn't it. Trinity Park is in Suffolk Coastal (or East Suffolk, not sure what they are called these days) so nothing to do with IBC at all.

In fairness, the local council would be involved to grant permission for the event to go ahead.
