Maybe. Only seen the report on a few sites, I am not convinced that will happen.
And as long as they are a League one club, recruitment is a tough ask no matter how much money you throw at it.
Not worried about them. We need to find the correct formation, setup of players ourselves and then we have one of the best teams in the division.

Wonder if we can convince them to come further down the east coast....

The 4.3m they threw at Will Grigg worked out well. They would probably have to spend over 10m to get close to having a squad as good as ours.

How often does mega money come in and make an instant impact?

Once it settles down after 3 or 4 windows where owners stop making ego driven statement signings and they have a structure in place it makes a difference at that point.

Even if that happens, there are two automatic promotion places. I doubt anyone would be too bothered with second.

It'll cost 100's of millions to get Newcastle competitive again. How much really to get Sunderland back in the Championship?

Because they dont fancy drinking 18 points and vomiting into a fireplace as part of negotiations.

In the spirit of reconciliation and happiness at the end of the Banter Era (RIP) and as a result of promotion I have cleared out my ignore list. Look forwards to reading your posts!

Don't see the attraction of Sunderland - they've proven they can't make a success of things even after a long stint in the PL as just don't thave the economy or location to support it

I read somewhere a while back, that after Man United they had the next biggest supporter base in this country.

It does, as long as it is equity, you can in theory spend as much as you like on fees in L1/2.

Especially if they're looking to buy in the Jan window - not the best time.

Perhaps if we're running away with the league we can sell them Judge for £10m.

As a billionaire the goal will be to get Sunderland into the PL and to be better than Newcastle which will cost even more.
