Winner of those ties (one off matches I believe, not two legs) play the teams who finished 2nd and 3rd. Think it works the same as other playoffs from there

Quarter and semi finals are one leg at the ground of the highest placed club so 2nd and 3rd placed club get a home semi final.

1998 Charlton- Lost in 90 mins
1999- Bolton- Won in 90 mins
2000- Bolton- Won aet
2004- West Ham- Lost in 90 mins
2005- West Ham- Lost in 90 mins

Pretty identical! However, we may have won promotion a year sooner.
