As I've observed before, you can speak truth unto power, but not unto idiocy.

boris telling more porkies on 12:53 - Aug 26 with 1693 views | ElderGrizzly | What I never understand with politicians, is the lies are so quick to prove as lies. Johnson, Trump etc. Obviously, if the strategy is to make out the media are the liars and enemy of the people then you might just get away with it
boris telling more porkies on 13:06 - Aug 26 with 1674 views | Oldsmoker | Liam Fox said in July 2017. "The free trade agreement that we will have to do with the EU should be one of the easiest in human history". If that is the case then why are the Tories so incapable of achieving it. Is it ? A. Easy like that they said but the Tories are useless. B. Not easy and the Tories are delusional. C. Both A and B.

Boris is trying to play the Tump game... on 13:11 - Aug 26 with 1653 views | unstableblue | ... say what you like, as long as it plays to some message, the be damned with the truth. We really shouldn't stand for it. Politics needs to be serious and grounded in facts. Boris' b@llsh!t alongside the other leavers got us into this mess.... need to now make them accountable. He's also lining up Brussells as scape goats for no-deal - which is plain wrong. Finally - his plan to somehow make a US trade deal a solve everytihng solution for our Brexit woes, is based i fantasy

If you continuously lie and just never acknowledge it, the lies just become meaningless. This won't really be acknowledged and everyone will forget about it.

boris telling more porkies on 13:25 - Aug 26 with 1615 views | Pinewoodblue | You çan get pork pies in Iceland, just as good as those in Tesco or Aldi. However American friends bemoan the fact they can not take sausages home when they visit UK. Perhaps Boris meant sausages rather than pies. [Post edited 26 Aug 2019 14:46]

' The English follow the principle that when one lies, one should lie big, and stick to it. They keep up their lies, even at the risk of looking ridiculous.' (Joseph Goebbels, 12 January 1941. Die Zeit ohne Beispiel. Munich: Zentralverlag der NSDAP. 1941, pp. 364-369)

boris telling more porkies on 15:17 - Aug 26 with 1501 views | Nthsuffolkblue | He is correct about one thing - red tape preventing exports to the US. The US are renowned for doing all they can to prevent imports competing with their home produce. This is why the prospect of any trade deal with them replacing the EU is "pie in the sky".

Both those articles seem to be from 2014. There is a quote in the BBC one from Walker and Son saying they used to but no longer do any exports. Also amusing that the second link there (the quote from the export exectuive) is mainly about TTIP which obviously won't involve us, and the protected status of Melton Mowbray pies which we will lose. Also does nothing to refute that we can't export Melton Mowbray pies to the U.S. There seems to be nothing stopping us other than the logistical issues of sending freshly made pies across the Atlantic ocean. So, in 2015 they exported to France. And they identified the US as a huge market … but couldn't export to it. How does either support Boris' claims and contradict the company's own statement?
