Johnson presents himself as the leader of the only Party (other than Brexit) who is willing to deliver Brexit and is putting conditions in place to do so. He'll call Corbyn out for blocking Brexit when he had the opportunity to deliver it by accepting an election prior to Halloween and ask the people to make a choice.
Labour rejecting the election now may cause them more problems.

If Boris doesn't deliver by October 31st he has failed by his own terms. If no deal is taken off the table tomorrow then he is up the creek (in his pirogue) without a paddle.
Edit ....no election this side of November!

Maybe but I can see him turning and pointing the finger at the House which wouldn't be an out-and-out lie. Then pitch the November election as Parliament vs The People with him on the latter side.

If there was any sense in this world, he can't win. If he honours his word he takes us out on no deal and f*cks the country. If he acts with any sense he f*cks the prople he's promosed the world.

But there's no sense.
There was a very telling survey a few months ago which essentially said that Tory party members viewed leaving the EU as more important than people's lives, the union and the economy but NOT losing an election to Labour.
I'm one of the people who was blamed for getting Paul Cook sacked. PM for the full post.

More division and probably an unclear result.
I suppose he knows he can blame the House entirely correctly for delaying, because he(along with a fair chunk of his cabinet) was one of those responsible for the delay.
