Christ, that brings back memories. The juxtaposition of Suffolk landscape and typical things we used to get up to at that age. Seems a long time ago now and a long way from where you end up . Happy days.

I'm lucky enough to still be able to get over to Shingle Street and Butley a few times a Summer down the river. It truly is the kind of landscape that sets Suffolk apart imo. A day trip to Shingle Street, a couple of hours with a BBQ then a Cider watching the sunset in Aldeburgh is my perfect Saturday (in the off-season!).
We are lucky to live in such a glorious county, those of us that do.
Nice article that, good few years since I dipped into 'Sound on Sound'. And good to see he kept it East Anglian with the Neve mixing desks, just a shame he went with Pro-Tools rather than SADiE on that front (although you are probably hard pressed to find any SADiEs around these days).
Good that Beoga got a mention, saw them at FolkEast last year, even got the chance to compliment them on a great performance afterwards as we were queuing for food at the same time. But 'Galway Girl' is not an Ed Sheeran original, been around for years and really belongs to Sharon Shannon now and she did a lovely job of it at FolkEast this year, her cheeky Dubliner electric guitarist filling in admirably for Steve Earle.
Yeah The small rundown building featured in the video is the ferrymans hut for the old foot ferry. Absolutely fabulous walk along there. Well worth the effort.

Agree, really good walk in the middle of nowhere. A few weeks back I was there and two seals appeared next to the abandoned building. They then raced each other upriver, was quite a sight.
