I remember Roy McDonough at Colchester showing disdain for some competition when they were in the conference.

He avoided a fine by playing his first team but all completely out of position.

And the Luton manager (rightly) argued the point that the competition is to develop youngsters - but he then gets fined for playing youngsters.

Didn't some clubs last year get round the rules by starting with a team to conform with the rules and then immediately substitute a couple of players in the first 2 mins?
