It's surprising how common his brash personality is withing the professional kitchen, a couple of friends who work in London as food wranglers often muse over how tame ramsay is vs some of the chefs they trained under.

I always assumed the sweary Ramsey is essentially a character for American TV.
I remember watching a UK version of Kitchen nightmares years ago and he was much calmer. |  |

It was a bit like that even when I worked in a rubbish pub kitchen. I suppose working 12 hour days in a tiny boiling room does do that to your nerves after a while! | |
