Puts pressure on the other moderates who haven't spoken up yet - Nicky Morgan must surely be ready to leave? [Post edited 7 Sep 2019 21:32]

And when you're down to the hard core of about 50 No Deal MPs and the Associations are splitting or defecting also, what do you do then?

There is possibly a tipping point where the careerists begin to think sticking by Johnson is more damaging to their prospects than going elsewhere. Once that is reached, the party will crumble to a small rump pretty quickly. After all, there aren't really that many MPs ideologically committed to a No Deal Brexit. Perhaps 40 or 50, plus a few more who don't believe Brexit can now be obtained any other way.

Understand all that so why do latest polls out today show increased support for BJ and Tories? I don’t understand this at all please explain is this due to complete mistrust with opposition parties?

I've always wanted Armando Ianucci to come back and make some more The Thick Of It, but what's going on now is beyond parody. It's like how something so over the top and extreme like Chris Morris's Brass Eye 20 years later is how news is presented now. We are living in a post-satire world, Donald Trump and Boris Johnson are heads of state. We are living in times so ludicrous you couldn't make this sh*t up.

Or the traitors are still on the ship (or in Farage's Brexit Party) - from Amber Rudd's resignation letter: 'I must also address the assault on decency and democracy that took place last week when you sacked 21 talented, loyal One Nation Conservatives. This short-sighted culling of my colleagues has stripped the party of broad-minded and dedicated Conservative MPs I cannot support this act of political vandalism...Britain's body politic is under attack from both sides of the ideological debate.'
