Some of the umpiring.... 15:50 - Sep 8 with 1167 views | StokieBlue | Not only did Overton smash the cover off the ball and was given LBW but it wasn't even in line. Farcical. You know it's clearly a shocker when McGrath thinks it's not out twice. SB

Some of the umpiring.... on 15:58 - Sep 8 with 1109 views | Nthsuffolkblue | Worse than that, the third umpire doubted what was obvious and thought it had hit the pad without the clear deflection off the middle of the bat. Had that not hit outside the line the third umpire would have upheld the decision! I wonder if ball tracking would have taken into account the massive deviation off the bat as the umpire was ignoring it!

To be fair, I think that is the first time I have seen the third umpire make an absolutely shocking call.

It was beyond shocking though - how on earth can anyone not see that's hit the bat on the replay. Madness. SB

I agree. I think he was so obsessed with snicko that was obscured by the bat hitting the pad and forgot to use his eyes to see what clearly happened to the ball! Until it showed the impact was outside the line I thought he was about to stick to the "out" decision despite the clear impact with the bat before the pad. [Post edited 8 Sep 2019 16:14]
