Worse than that, the third umpire doubted what was obvious and thought it had hit the pad without the clear deflection off the middle of the bat. Had that not hit outside the line the third umpire would have upheld the decision!
I wonder if ball tracking would have taken into account the massive deviation off the bat as the umpire was ignoring it! |  |

I agree. I think he was so obsessed with snicko that was obscured by the bat hitting the pad and forgot to use his eyes to see what clearly happened to the ball!
Until it showed the impact was outside the line I thought he was about to stick to the "out" decision despite the clear impact with the bat before the pad. [Post edited 8 Sep 2019 16:14]

That certainly was a puzzler, the only thing I can think of is the front camera giving the illusion it may have not the pad and bat at the same time
The other angle should have confirmed it hit the bat before the pad |  |
