Where is Rowe? (n/t) on 14:12 - Sep 14 with 1765 views | Nthsuffolkblue | Is he not warming up? He is supposed to be in the side. EDIT: My mistake, Judge is. Seems rather harsh so must have picked up a knock/be unwell/personal reasons for him not even to be on the bench. [Post edited 14 Sep 2019 14:16]

Would have expected him to be on the bench if that was the reason, personally.

Dobra gets a chance instead.

I hope he hasn't been pushed down the order again. I'd have him ahead of Edwards all day

Difficult to call that one. Edwards looked very god but very only rarely at Championship level. Rowe has looked much more consistent at League 1 level. If Edwards can show the consistency there is no doubt he is a better player.

From what Lambert said, I don't think there is a strict "order", more a pool of players to choose from in several positions. I don't think he sees Edwards as inferior to Rowe, or vice versa.

Fair enough, but there must come a point where he will need it clear in his head what his best side is, even if that is not until next season.

I don't think that is necessary, as long as everybody's equally up to speed on the system and style (which comes from training). It greatly increases flexibility (both during and between games) and makes the team more resistant to being degraded by injury. Also keeps all the players happy if they think there's a fair chance of inclusion.

Not sure I see the fuss about Rowe to be honest. Tidy enough but doesn't look like assisting or scoring. Edwards blows hot and cold, but does offer assisted and goals on occasion. [Post edited 14 Sep 2019 18:10]

Come the business end of the season when teams with a smaller squad are looking knackered we will be congratulating Lambert on his squad management.

Edwards seems to have lost his attacking style , he rarely makes a run down the wing these days , he seems to be playing deeper to cover the full backs

If there is a strict order then judge should be right at the bottom......level on points with kenlock.
