That game is the sort of game you fear when you see 442 without 2 wingers 19:43 - Sep 14 with 896 viewsitfcjoe

Just never had control of it in the middle of the park, were comprehensively outplayed in that regard - still created a bit but only due to little flashes of quality because it was a real long ball style.

The problems seemed obvious, but yet when we made changes we didn't address them which is concerning.

Yet we could have nicked it at the end, and league table is looking good.

Be interested to see how we play on Tuesday, as think we will be crying out for that 3rd man in the midfield against a passing side like MK Dons

The difference having a genuine wide player on the second half was telling. 3 or 4 superb balls from Georgiou.

Whereas Edwards was anonymous and Judge, as busy as Harry from Bath as he is, was again ineffective.

After 15 mins it was clear we were getting no change out of their 2 centre backs but as we seem to have been doing over the last few years...we just kept pumping it long.

In hindsight....I would have sacrificed both Norwood and Jackson in the second half and brought on Nolan, Keane and Dozzel taking of Downes as well. Played 1 up with Judge just behind with Noland and Dozzell either side of Skuse.

Top marks to Chambers for that tackle and fairplay to Kenlocke....bit of a shocker today but the way he defended at the very end was excellent and earnt a point.

Ade Akinbiyi couldn't hit a cows arse with a banjo...

I wonder if PL will be tempted to go to three centre backs (when Toto is back) and use KVY and Georgiou/Garbutt as wing backs. It Would enable him to add a creative midfielder into the middle of park to complement Skuse and Downes.

It feels that we still have a few square pegs in round holes

And so it came to pass. Although did not see Skuse being a central defender.

Think it'll turn out to be a diamond with Skuse ahead of Wilson/chambo.

In the spirit of reconciliation and happiness at the end of the Banter Era (RIP) and as a result of promotion I have cleared out my ignore list. Look forwards to reading your posts!

It looks that way. Whatever it is, it looks better balanced than the line up on Saturday. Nolan and Huws provide a better link to the front two and how much better do we look with Garbutt on the left?
