Poll: Why can't/don't we protest like the French do? 🤔

Good series in the end, not noted for it's batting

Hopefully England will be better settled for the Ashes series down under. On paper we should have a more settled and experienced attack, hopefully with a bit of pace amongst it if we can keep Archer, Wood and Stone fit

The challenge now is to find some batsman who can bat

Sibley may come into the reckoning, if Banton continues at the rate he is showing, he too could easily break into the side. One or two others may emerge as well.

You would expect to see Bairstow, Butler, Stokes, Root and Woakes there again.

Moeen Ali may come back re-invigorated.

Alcohol is the answer but I can't remember the question!

Great win, and what a difference a week makes.

Last week it looked like being 3-1, and but for the miracle of Headingley 4-0, now it's 2-2 and we had the better of the draw at Lords

Funny old game Test cricket, but isn't it fantastic !

Their bowling was slightly better than us (strength in depth, more consistent), they had Smith, other than that I think our batting was slightly better than theirs.

A slightly more experienced unit who had been together longer

Hopefully we can develop a decent unit for Oz

It's all down to the batsman now to improve. I wonder if a few of the One Day players will be better suited to those Aussie wickets with those duller Kookaburra balls

With Jimmy to come back and hopefully keep it going until the next ashes, the bowling options look ok but we need 2 or 3 test standard batsmen to come through, or rather be given an opportunity to in the first place

Sibley seems the next in line, Pope may come again

You have the likes of Banton who could emerge also, he looks a serious prospect
