From what I can work out there will be diversions through Cambridge from the A428 at Madingley to J33 of the A14 at Milton. [Post edited 17 Sep 2019 10:22]

May I suggest A507 then A505 but watching for speed cameras then A11 A14 |  |

Think it might just easier to do M1, M25,A12. It’s only 20 miles further than A14, A428 route and better roads ....,. not sure how far those road closures / diversions would add to Cambridge route anyway. |  |
