That midfield looks a bit weak to me. I imagine if we went with 3 in midfield then Downes and Skuse would start with either Nolan or Huws.
I think we're more likely to go with 4231 as the OP's line up tonight then back to 442 at the weekend. | | | |

The issue with a lot of the 4-3-3 or 4-2-3-1 systems being proposed is that they run the risk of becoming a 4-5-1 as essentially we're playing midfielders in attacking roles. We need someone who is more of a forward in those areas so Norwood doesn't get isolated. Either Jackson as a wide forward or someone like Dobra, who is more attack minded and could play wide or as a number 10. [Post edited 17 Sep 2019 11:18]

I think Huws is more physical than people think. Obviously he is made of wet paper and he wont offer the same sort of grit that Downes does, but hopefully Skuse can cover that.
Huws is relatively tall and he isn't a push over, so I think in a 3 with Skuse and Nolan (who loves a tackle btw) he would be alright. | |
