In the 70's I used to go Kings Cross cinema for the all-nighters. Hitched up to London from Ipswich at 6pm to get to London for midnight. Once, We were walking up the side of the cinema about 11:30pm and Ian Dury + Kilburn & the High Roads were having a fag-break outside. We crossed the street thinking they were trouble. Kings+ at midnight was not an area you wanted to be hanging around in for too long in those days. Good times. Quintessence, Hawkwind (+ Stacey) were regulars too.
Don't believe a word I say. I'm only kidding. Or am I?

We had excellent wi-fi in Portugal.
But you won't be allowed to visit the EU ever again, so there's a positive.
Had a taste of our glorious Blue Passports and No Foreigners future at Faro airport. Decided to hop across to the 'any other areas' passport check booth as the queue was only 4 people long. It was that long because the fella at the desk was doing the full 'and-what-the-purpose-of-your-visit' rigmarole. We were through 10 minutes after the people at the back of the 30-odd strong EU arrivals queue.
I'm one of the people who was blamed for getting Paul Cook sacked. PM for the full post.
