Holiday injuries(look at me) 17:56 - Oct 1 with 831 viewsBlueBadger

So, today, whilst visiting the lovely town of Carvoeiro I managed to trip over a bollard and do a fair amount of mischief to myself. No fractures but there's enough muscle/ligament bruising to make bending my arms and simple jobs REALLY tricky.

Anybody else able to beat this(very low) bar?

My inlaws live about 15 minutes' drive away.
Injury aside, we've had a lovely day. There and then Ferragudo.

This week's also marked my first ever venture into the east Algarve, Tavira and Villareal are well worth a visit.

Went go-karting with my son in Crete last week, one of my ankles must have been resting on a very hot part of the go-kart for the whole session, but I only felt the painful burn the second I climbed out of the cart.

I now have a very painful blackened burn that I need to keep applying anti-septic cream to every few hours.

I stumbled on some even ground during the hot dry summer of 2018, and gave myself a high hamstring injury, which meant even sitting down was uncomfortable for several weeks. Full recovery - including physio work - took the best part of a year.

Don't overdose on pastels da nata, and their buttery lamination.

Or Sandeman's white port.

*professional hat on*

If it's blackened, you should probably get someone professional to take a look at that, sounds like it could be a deep one.

I'm all about the Ferreira's Ruby and fringe assado, personally.

Once fell off a rocky path in to the Red Sea in a fairly remote bit of Egypt landing on a sea urchin....shortly after Miss Slave and I stumbled upon 3 Bedouins who sorted out the wound as best they could, plied us with some lovely hash and cooked us a freshly caught fish lunch....lovely injury that was!

Yes thanks, I was wondering whether I should! To be fair it seems to have reduced in size, and is maybe more reddish-black now, I'll see what it's like tomorrow.
