Athletics World Championships 21:22 - Oct 2 with 847 views | Dubtractor | Being played out to an empty stadium in Qatar. A shambles really. Could this be how the world cup plays out too?

Congratulations to Dina Asher-Smith who is " the first Briton to win a world or Olympic sprint title since Linford Christie at Stuttgart 1993." https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/athletics/49914205 You're right, all that hard work deserves better.

They must have decided not to class the individual 400 metres and both relays as sprints in that case. The thing i am most surprised by is the fact many seem to be surprised by the terrible crowds,it always was going to be the case for a variety of reasons. To be honest though there are only a few countries that can and do fill a big Athletics stadium (Blighty being one) even for the Worlds and we have seen poor crowds before at other editions in the past.
