And in other news.... 13:41 - Oct 10 with 1192 viewsOldsmoker

2 things caught my eye.
1. Irish MP Joan Collins (no really) has told the Irish parliament "Yous just really don't give a f***". She's apologised for her language but I think she got her point across.
2. Greta Thunberg accused of "never working a day in her life". This from a Brexiter who obviously supports child labour.

I'm sure Miss Thunberg's work over the last couple of years has achieved more than whichever armchair Brexiter cockwomble that came from.

I liked the story the other day of the chap who ran James O'Brien's radio show and he'd voted leave because he had had enough of the free movement of people.

He was ringing from his home. In Portugal.

O'Brien said something like 'go away and have a think about that'.

Accusations that the racists have been empowered to speak their mind seems to miss the point that the stupid have been empowered too.

Reminds me of that caller on the radio a year or two back who said that he was so fed up with immigration that he was moving to New Zealand.

I just heard that clip.
He phoned up to complain about the money spent on running the EU.
JO'B told him about a new study from the Gov't saying how being under WTO will cost us 15bn a year.
He had no response to that.

Someone I know said before the referendum:

"If we don't leave the EU I am going to move to Spain"

Could always ship out to Gibraltar, if they're a masochist.

This is one of the things that I find interesting, especially on a football message board.

Nobody would debate whether Mühren had more football ability than Jonathan Douglas. Many people can kick a football in the same way many people have an opinion.

Some people run faster than others.

Some people are stupid. Not everyone is equally intelligent.

And their opinions, would be similar to my ability to hit a 40 yard free kick, against a professional keeper, in-front of 40000 people, i.e. not really worth it, but I would probably just hit the ball as hard as I could, at the wall, and hope some observers thought I was trying something clever.
