I stopped off there on my way back from Jupiter once. I was a bit knackered so only really saw the inside of my hotel room and the ten hookers the president had unexpectedly laid on for me.

If you actually are going to Belize I imagine you will be doing the jungle trekking in the Jaguar reserve. Expect to be totally isolated from the rest of humanity and to have to rely on your team leaders. If they take the attitude of most posters on here you do not have an earthly...

Also, if you are way down south and do not behave like a turd you might get taken to hear, or even participate in, Garifuna music. Do not pass that up. And the best way out of Belize is by boat to Livingston / Rio Dolce in Guatemala.
