Garth Crooks' punditry 17:06 - Oct 19 with 861 viewsHerbivore

This is quite something in terms of seeming to disagree with yourself:

"Sean Dyche is furious but it looks like is it is a push. You can see that Jonny Evans says straight away that he was pushed in the back. If he was not pushed, he would have cleared it. That's what VAR is for but for me that is a goal. I feel like that they have interpreted it wrong. I think Sean Dyche has every right to be furious."

The shortened version is that there was a foul leading up to the goal but it should have stood anyway. I'm not quite sure how he gets there.

I find Crooks even more annoying than Chris Sutton.

Always talking over people and is always right.

Indeed. He is quite irritating and almost always spectacularly wrong.

The BBC coverage is pretty shambolic compared with Jeff Stelling and Sky. In addition to Crooks making no sense at all on the Evans incident, the presenters have a nasty habit of talking over each other which really doesn’t help.
