Saturday can't come quick enough 19:01 - Oct 24 with 636 viewsGlasgowBlue

After losing two on the spin we couldn't wish for a better game to get our confidence back.

Southend have only managed a solitary win this season and have shipped 40 goals.

Imagine the meltdown on here when we slump to a dismal 1-0 defeat then

My hobbies include being quiet during trips, clapping with songs, and diabetes.

I’d prefer a high stakes top of the table clash. This is EXACTLY the sort of game we’d feck up historically (pre-last season obviously, when we messed up most of them).

Poll: So then cake aficionados, which is your favourite part of Battenberg?

I think that we are going into the Southend game less likely to lose after losing two on the bounce than we would be if we were still unbeaten.

Our confidence has been dented a little bit but that might be better than going into Saturday being over confident.

We will find out in due course.

That’s a fair point. If I was Saaarfend, I’d be worried about us looking to make someone pay for our last defeat. The same argument could have applied to last night, but l’ll ignore that.

Yes, I expected bounce back last night but Saturday should now be double bounce back.

I fully expect Lambert to have the team fired up for Southend.

Exactly. Really we should’ve been at least 7 points better out of the 9 available from the 3 games this week... the fact we have none from the first 2 of those doesn’t change the fact we should definitely take 3 points on Saturday.

We were fired up for the first four minutes last night, it is what happened in the hour and a half or so afterwards that was the problem.

I don't think we will lose three on the bounce, surprised we lost two consecutively in this league.

On paper its ideal. Annoyingly its campbell's first game so should be their best performance for new manager. Should have more than enough.

Poll: Genuine answers please on what you would choose next season!

It's too early to panic.

Were Southend to win 1-0, with Luke Hyam scoring the winner in the 88th minute, after coming on as a substitute, it would not be too early to panic.
