Once upon a time, a litte boy kept falsely alerting his fellow villagers that he'd seen a dangerous wolf waiting to pounce on their newborn lambs, so they wasted a lot of time & energy believing him & running around to protect their lambs.
Then one day a wolf really did turn up. The boy shouted an alert, but because of his previous lies no one believed him, so they took no action to protect the lambs, who all got gobbled up by the wolf. | |
