For me it's the Smiths. Today is the great Johnny Marr's birthday so here is a video of the great man I took last time he saw him live. I had a pretty good spot.

Can't believe no-one has spoken up for Led Zep, Hendrix, Pink Floyd......
Got to be these.....
if not then Cliff Richard...
Assumption is to make an ass out of you and me.
Those who assume they know you, when they don't are just guessing.
Those who assume and insist they know are daft and in denial.
Those who assume, insist, and deny the truth are plain stupid.
Those who assume, insist, deny the truth and tell YOU they know you (when they don't) have an IQ in the range of 35-49.
Best ever body of work surely has to be a Bowie but if we're insistent on naming a band The Smiths rank up there, maybe Led Zep (only In Through The Out Door is a bit weak), obviously the Beatles (I'm one of the few who love the early stuff as much as the transitional period and later stuff). I'd also argue for Blur, only ropey album is Leisure and that has strong moments even if they're fairly derivative of that time. Also I'd argue for Deftones, they have been consistently ace since Adrenaline

REM until Bill Berry left...basically their first ten albums. Amazing how a drummer departing could cause such an immediate and sustained downturn in artistic output.
