Bishop and Sears 18:49 - Nov 2 with 2208 viewsWestcountryblue

With Sears back on the grass and Bishop due back in a couple of weeks, both could make a huge difference during the busy December/January fixture schedule. Whereabouts do you think both will fit in? Personally, I see both as a step up to have we already have: Sears > Jackson and Bishop > Nolan. To have such a plethora of young talent in the middle of the park will serve us well next year, if we step back up into the championship and use the momentum to be competitive.
Hopefully it will also provide the scope to send the likes of El Mizouni, Dozzell and maybe even Dobra out to other league one sides.

I get the impression that PL will not rush either of them back. Sears is months away, and Bishop still several weeks.

I think Sears may be put wide left, to use his pace and provide crosses for Jackson and Norwood.

Good Lord! Whatever is it?

From Lambert’s comments I deduced that neither will be available until well into the New Year, and it sounds like Lankester is even further away from playing.

Given his injury record I wouldn’t be making any plans for Bishop!

'Bishop back in a couple of weeks'

People have been saying that for 2 years.

I know that was then, but it could be again..

A bit like Emyr you will see them at best sparingly this season to give them time to properly recuperate. I would be very surprised to see Sears selected this side of Christmas and more likely not until late season when the pitches dry out and are less of a strain on the body. Lankester and Nydam are more likely to be next season than this one.

Don't think either of them will be back as soon as that. The video of Sears the other day was rather overstated to suggest he was closing in on a return when it was his first day doing anything outside. Jim Henry gave his view of their position on Thursday and said they'd both still be months.

Vincent-Young in Doha Seeing Specialist 1st Nov 2019 12:13
Fitness coach Jim Henry has revealed that right-back Kane Vincent-Young has been in Doha, Qatar this week with physio Matt Byard seeing a specialist regarding his groin injury. Henry, speaking at last night’s Meet the Club event, has also given an update on the progress of Freddie Sears, Teddy Bishop and Jack Lankester. 19

Not sure they'll be back as soon as that, but will be good quality to introduce fresh in the run-in.

I said at the start of the season we would be lucky to see much of Freddy this season , most fans just don't understand how long it takes to get over this sort of injury .
