We used to have a library on board. They don’t bother these days. That’s why it’s always nice to get to an older ship sometimes. Good range of books and DVDs.
Although I have my kindle app so, I’ve got as many books as I want really. Technology, marvellous at times.

If these people understood the difference between Mercator projection and gnomonic projection and the maths behind Great Circles and Rhumb Lines then there would be no arguments.
I have actually been teaching my Burmese deck cadet about sailings and navigational maths this week.

Well I have Googled ' gnomonic projection' and can safely confirm it has nothing to do with little guys in pointy hats.
