Given the matter of not having any games lately and his persistent on keeping players ticking (throwing Norris in because he 'needs a game') i'd be baffled if he didn't play a strong team. We have Colchester on Tuesday where he can play the 'need a game' players, followed by an international break.
The first team will effectively had a 10 day rest before a new 18 day rest. |  |

I guess, on paper, that isn’t a bad line up and should be able to go toe to toe with Lincoln. I suppose Lambert’s argument will be the eleven players are getting a run out against a League One side instead of League Two. I’m not sure what he’ll do in the Trophy match though; play a stronger XI? Or bundle out the kids? I can’t see him sticking to the same line up anyway. | |

He'll be complaining that players "lack match sharpness" in a months time.
I expect to see changes, but not as wholesale as you state, at least not for the Lincoln game.

....how much respect he has for the fans it will be a massive mistake if he shows absolutely none by playing 2 reserve teams in these two upcoming matches.
