Half the "first team" (whatever that is) would be o.k. But if it's none of Garbutt, Chambers, Woolfie, Skuse, Nolan, Jackson or Norwood, then it won't be as full a connection with fans as that which P.L. trades in.
I know the League comes first for many, but our never-ending shamefaced approach to the Cup needs sorting. Plenty of teams, across different leagues, who go on a roll manage to challenge for both when the wind is behind them. | |

As I said on another thread, Sunderland have only made one change from their last league game today whilst Gillingham made three. Lambert's already said we're making at least eight by stating that no one who played 90 minutes at Rochdale will start today. | |
