I thought Downes, Huws and Dozzell offered a well balanced midfield but it doesn’t appear to be working out that way.

I don't think they've all been on the field at the same time before have they? I might be wrong, but I can't remmeber it.

We'll all be laughing at this after we win 3-1. Maybe they just need a bit of time to get going

Judge had more right after his good displays last season. (I know it’s not turned out that way)

He didn't look close to as good as Huws in his pomp, though admittedly we're going back 2.5 years to see Huws in his pomp for us.

They played 4.4.2 1st half, 2nd half they played as a 3 and it worked well and Dozzell was totally bossing it until PL changed back to 4.4.2 then we lost our way again. I do wonder what game he watches at times

That's all correct, but I think the latter change was a last ditch attempt to throw men forward and nick a win. Personally I'd have just taken Keane off for Norwood and stuck to the 433. As you may have gathered, I don't think Keane played well at all.

Keane, Huws or the ref on 18:21 - Nov 9 with 3029 views | LankHenners | Thought Huws did ok after all - always trying to get things going but was hampered by a lack of movement ahead of him. Keane looks so rusty - very sluggish, his touch off, always a yard behind where he needed to be. We get some sh1te refs at this level but this one was comfortably in the top 2 worst we’ve had. Unfathomably biased in the first half and seemed to guess at every decision in the 2nd half the useless tw@t.

I've been one of those who've admired those Dozzell touches, but even today most of them came from too deep to penetrate the midfield clutter. He looks terrific, and the goal was wonderful, but still he was, for me anyhow, a luxury, or perhaps a player who needs to shine in the Eredivisie.

Yeah, as per my other post, huws much improved second half in the deeper role. Keane just looks miles off it at the moment. So far that I wonder whether he can get to a level to be useful to us.

Agree with Norwood for Keane, everything else was working well and we were well on top.

Stick players with energy and physicality around Dozzell and we have a player but not stuck out wide. A luxury but he has class as his goal showed. Regular minutes needed though. He was deep at times but he built our play up kept the ball with better movement ahead he might have unlocked them a few times.
Keane, Huws or the ref on 19:03 - Nov 9 with 2926 views | bluejacko | Are we sure it was actually the ‘ref’ and not some geezer who mugged him on his way to the ground and took his place? He was by far the worst ‘ref’ I think I have seen in decades of watching football Absolutely pathetic !

Not sure if he was an incredibly poor ref or just one of the most biased. Possibly both. [Post edited 9 Nov 2019 19:35]
