Minute's silence - Blue Action 19:09 - Nov 9 with 7360 viewsuefacup81

Don't know if it was because it was poorly announced within the stadium or what, but the silence today seemed particularly poorly observed within the SBR.

Blue Action guys had to be shushed into silence, and even then there was still a pretty audible murmur coming from them throughout the silence.

Very poor form.

We most certainly did not have to be shushed into silence. We stood and observed it like everyone else. If anyone made a noise, it had nothing to do with us.

Definitely not enough to carry throughout the stadium, but enough people trying to carry on their conversations uietly that they could be heard.

Shutting up for one minute a year isn't the hardest thing to do.

I assume the large amount of people to the right of S5 were just making hissing noises for fun then?

Dunno, we were right in the middle of section 5. Maybe some lads to the right were making hissing noises, you'll have to take it up with them.

Well I was stood right behind your banner, and a fair few of those chuntering away were the ones holding up the banner, hence why I've associated them with BA.

Don’t think they had anything to do with it. As usual people still in the concourse were making a noise but apart from a few teens being a bit gobby and a quick verbal scuffle over someone not wanting to have the banner over their face it was quiet.

Just because I don't care doesn't mean I don't understand.

I was just in front and didn't hear anything - and the people who held up the banner are not all BA, they just happened to be in the seats where the the banner was being unfolded as far as I'm aware...

For me this is simple not true any noise and it was not much came from below around the bars. I am pretty sure it was from those unaware that the silence was going on .

I was in the middle of the goal, behind the banner. Didn't hear anything apart from murmuring from under the stand, at the bar (presumably)

No doubt you'll be offering BA an apology now you've had it confirmed from multiple non BA members that it wasn't them.

I was just in front of the banner and Blue Action were silent throughout - well observed silence from where I was in Section 5.

What an overaction from another cheese melt.

There was noise coming from under the stand and fair play to one steward who rushed down and stopped people from coming up the steps and informed people the minutes silence was starting.

As soon as the last post was being played there was silence.

In the 25+ years I have been going to FPR there has always been some murmurs/noises from people who are not yet in the stands, this is not out of any rudeness...but because they're unaware!

Also to link this to Blue Action (Who I don't stand with) is a joke!

Melts everywhere.

Both have just assumed BA were at fault too and flung the accusation out willy nilly.
