I find this both astonishing and deeply sad:

"There are more tigers in American gardens than there are left in the wild."

"According to the US Fish & Wildlife Service, there are between 3,200 and 3,500 tigers remaining in the wild globally. By some estimates there are 5,000 in captivity in the US, though there might be more."

It's just a really sad article.

On the other hand it is rather reassuring being able to walk the dog without fear of being eaten by a tiger. I suspect the benefits of living in close proximity to tigers is exagerrated by guardian-reading tree-huggers living on the other side of the world.

Don't worry Stokie, the banks and corporations are going to save nature.

Banks are monetizing and buying up nature including endangered species to then sell as commodities to corporations wishing to buy 'green credits'.

What could possibly go wrong?

Big money to be made in 'saving the planet' by those that are BANKING NATURE.
