Not sure that's really reflected by the first few days of campaigning and polls with Brexit and the LibDems sliding away.
The Tories have an awful record they can't defend. They're pro-Brexit despite not knowing how to do that - or why. And they've got little else in their locker. That's before we even address the Russian interference and Acuri shenanigans that are hanging over them throughout.
Another 5 weeks and we'll see where that gets them. |
We're currently sliding into an early winter bed crisis in the NHS. Most places in the region already have their 'winter escalation' wards open, that doesn't usually happen until December. That will probably hit the Tories hard, much like Grenfell and the London terror attacks of 2017 did when the effects of their policies came to light in the most horrific fashions possible.

How much of your adult life have you lived and worked in Scandinavia I would be interested to know? And why on a very simple level do so many want to come and settle in the UK when they could just apply or try to get into Scandinavia?

I would imagine that it's because for most people, English is their second language.
But your premise isn't really right anyway, as both Sweden and Norway have higher levels of immigration (as a proportion) than the UK, as do several other European countries, including Austria, Germany and Ireland. |  | | |

It's not rocket science, it's just what happens when you prioritise the needs of society as a whole rather than focusing on the opportunity for a minority to make a profit - and then lying to everyone else that they can do the same. A stronger, healthier, better educated society has also become the basis of their current economic success and better prepared for the likely future.

I've lived in Denmark for 4 years and the policies there are in general more left-wing than Corbyn's. Which is why the notion of an apocalypse under Labour is ridiculous, and dreamt up by the right who have a habit of only thinking for themselves.
Norway is a bad example to cite as they have sh*tloads of money from oil which skews any real indicators of growth. |  |

I don't think this helps the Conservatives as much as is being portrayed. They have to win Labour seats, and will face the Brexit Party in every one of those seats.
Moreover in marginal seats in the North/Midlands where the Conservatives hold the seat, a lot of Leave Labour voters may prefer to vote Labour then Conservative in the absence of the Brexit Party option, and so the Brexit Party would actually have split the Labour vote more than the Conservative vote, had they stood.
