2. Disillusioned Labour voters won't vote Tory but would vote BP which takes away votes from the Labour candidate and let's the Tories in

I think the BP hope they'll win a few of them, the Tories won't, then will be in the DUP-like position of power broker as Johnson tries to form a new government.
