If it was 8 league games, it would be.
Instead the cup matches are really reserve games. In the league we have drawn 3 on the trot all against top 6 opposition having previously won 2 in a row. We are still second and 4 points clear of 3rd and with a game in hand.
Yes, it could be better but we have settled into this division rather better than Sunderland, Rotherham or many others. |  |

Problem is we are limited for strike power. We rarely get more than a goal a game, and simply can’t defend it. But the main issue I have with this season, is this sodding squad rotation crap. No synergy, or partnerships allowed to develop. We always feel “11 players “...but not a settled TEAM. This will be our undoing as far as I can see this season. |  |

7 out of 18 league matches we have scored more than once. I wouldn't call that rarely myself.
Of the other 11, 5 have been 1-0 wins and 4 have been draws.
I am not sure lack of goals is the full picture. | |
