What’s slipping away? That’s rather dramatic don’t you think? We’ve not lost a league game since Rotherham. We’re having a poor run and we’re in the same position as were. As boring as it is, the league is our priority. It would have almost been better losing tonight in an entertaining end to end game, showing some of Saturday’s good first half, than fluking an equaliser and winning on penalties, which was unlikely but possible. Anything would have been better than what was played out. Tonight was dog turd. No one looked bothered, apart from maybe Holy and Woolfenden. There was no leadership whatsoever, barely any voices in a quiet stadium. Jackson gets lots of plaudits, but he needs to play better than that if he’s going to get any more from me. It’s interesting how his first touch is still awful even when Norwood is playing. Midfield was non existent, they should be embarrassed with how Woolfenden marauded past all of them in the last few minutes trying to make something happen. | |
